As Director of Planning and Communications Services, John provides companywide leadership and drives business development strategy for the discipline. In doing so, his role focuses on the growth and development of planning and communications services and staff, innovative and quality project delivery, and advancing overall company initiatives and objectives.
Professional Highlights
As a certified planner with nearly three decades of industry experience, John has managed multimodal transportation planning and public involvement programs for communities large and small. Over the years, he has contributed greatly to the advancement of the planning and communications practice, writing papers and presenting on topics of expertise such as environmental justice, sustainability, complete streets, safe routes to school, public involvement, and more. John has served as an instructor for the National Highway Institute (NHI)/National Transit Institute Integrated Transportation and Land Use Course, where he promoted sound, practical and sustainable multimodal transportation solutions to communities across the country. As a trained facilitator, he has also designed and implemented robust and inclusive public involvement programs for municipal, county, and state agencies throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southern markets.
John enjoys spending his free time reading, listening to live music, and touring wineries. He also likes road tripping around the U.S. and spending time with family and friends.
