Congratulations to Jason Hetrick, PE, CFM, Assistant Director, Water Resources, who was elected as the 2026-2027 President of the American Society of Highway Engineers South Carolina (ASHE-SC) earlier this summer. With more than 25 years of industry experience and numerous years of involvement with ASHE, Jason brings a wealth of knowledge, perspective, and commitment to the organization and its members.
Jason is a charter member of ASHE-SC, actively attending and serving in leadership roles since its inception in 2021. Through his involvement with ASHE-SC, Jason has gained the skills expected of the organization’s president and believes the position is a powerful driver in community for the industry.
“It’s great being able to help lead an organization that brings our industry together for fellowship and educational opportunities,” said Jason. “Being able to continue to work with alongside a dedicated board of directors and past presidents to continue growing our section is a great opportunity and honor.”
As Chapter President, Jason hopes to strengthen the Section’s commitment to meaningful engagement through the Section’s technical programs, networking events, mentorship, and professional development.
“Particularly, I would like to grow our membership and educational opportunities to be more diverse and include other engineering and non-engineering disciplines that support the transportation industry. I want to ensure that our chapter continues to be not only a place to stay informed but a place to stay connected and inspired.”
