McCormick Taylor Welcomes Susan Hazelton, PE

We are pleased to announce Susan Hazelton, PE has joined McCormick Taylor in our Harrisburg, PA office.

In her role as Senior Transportation Engineer at McCormick Taylor, Susan will draw on her extensive technical knowledge and industry experience to support the delivery of complex projects and schedules, advance business development initiatives, mentor and develop staff, and help advance regional goals and strategic objectives.

Susan brings more than three decades of transportation planning, highway design, and project leadership experience to McCormick Taylor. Her career began in the private sector working for two different consultants over a five-year period before heading to the public sector where she dedicated 31 years to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), Engineering District 4. While at PennDOT, she contributed to the advancement of major transportation initiatives across the region. Most recently, Susan held the District’s second highest position, Assistant District Engineer for Design for twelve years in which she led and supported all highway and bridge design efforts in the region, including the management of the District’s project delivery schedules, consultant activities and selections, staff training and direction, asset management efforts, oversight of MPO and RPO funding levels, and a host of other responsibilities. Prior to earning that role, she progressed through several positions including Assistant Permit Engineer, Assistant Liaison Engineer, Planning & Programming Engineer, and Portfolio Manager.
