Congratulations to Jeannette Quirus, PE, PTOE, who was elected Chair of Montgomery County Transportation Authority (MCTA)!
“Having been on the MCTA Board since 2012, and having served as Vice Chair since 2014, I am excited to be elected to Chair for 2021. This board is mainly responsible for buying right-of-way for County roadway, bridge, and trail projects. I have enjoyed seeing the right-of-way side of transportation projects. I am proud to serve as the Chair this year and work with the entire board and the staff at the Montgomery County Planning Commission.”
As Director of Traffic Engineering, Jeannette is responsible for managing the traffic engineering group across the company, including teaching and leading the staff, winning new work, coordinating workshare, and hiring needs across our offices. As a Director, she is part of the companywide leadership team that oversees transportation engineering.
