Congratulations to Lauren Havener, PE, a Project Manager of Water Resources in our Baltimore office for being selected as the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) Young Member of the Year! Lauren received the award at the 2023 ASHE National Conference held in Atlanta, GA. The award was established to recognize young ASHE members who have made outstanding contributions to the highway/transportation industry and their communities during the early years of their careers.
"I have served on the ASHE Chesapeake Section Board since 2018, and I have gained so much from my involvement with this professional society," said Lauren. "It is an amazing honor to be recognized by this organization on a national level. I couldn’t have done it without the support of my team at McCormick Taylor."
Lauren currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the ASHE Chesapeake Section, while also juggling her daily workload as a Project Manager and Water Resources Engineer. Her work includes performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, developing stormwater management and storm drain designs, completing both 1D and 2D hydraulic models, preparing reports, and managing multiple projects.
