MCCORMICK TAYLOR MAKES THE MOST OF #MPACTPHILLY!

With the Mpact Transit + Community 2024 Conference in our backyard, McCormick Taylor is all in for the many events, mobile workshops, and technical sessions planned each day. The annual Mpact Transit + Community Conference (formerly Rail~Volution) begins October 20th and is in its 29th year. The four-day event focuses on “the interplay of transit, connected mobility options, land use and development in building great places to live – for everyone”. We are excited to join over 1,000 professionals including transit and multimodal planners, government staff, nonprofit and community leaders, advocate organizations, designers, community engagement professionals, and more at this year’s conference.

CONFERENCE PLANNING

A conference of this size that draws attendees from across the United States and Canada takes a great deal of planning and preparation. McCormick Taylor’s Christina Arlt, AICP, Manager, Planning and Communications Services in our Philadelphia office has had a front row seat to these efforts as a member of the conference’s Local Host Committee. The local host committee organizes mobile workshops, pre-conference events, the Welcome Reception, and Regional Day. As Co-Chair of the Mobile Workshops Sub-Committee, Christina has worked with Co-Chair Jen Dougherty, AICP, SEPTA’s Manager of Long Range Planning, and other members to organize 4 Pre-Conference events and 26 Mobile Workshops. The Mobile Workshops will allow participants to experience Greater Philadelphia for themselves and learn directly from local practitioners, leaders, and advocates.
