McCormick Taylor is pleased to announce Alexandra Castrechini, PE has joined our Glen Allen, VA office.
In her position as Manager, Transportation Engineering, Alex will lead the engineering staff in the Glen Allen office, coordinate and mentor staff, and provide project oversight to ensure quality, innovation, and cost effectiveness. Working under Senior Manager, Sam Styers, she will also support ongoing business development activities and strategic plan development for the region.
Alex is a graduate of Penn State University with Bachelor of Science Degrees in Civil Engineering and Marketing and is currently pursuing a LEAD (Learn-Engage-Accelerate-Disrupt) Certification from Stanford University. Her more than 17 years of employment experience includes 13 years in state and local government and 4 years of various consulting work. During this time, she has held several leadership positions, such as Township Director of Engineering, Planning and Zoning; Acting and Assistant Township Engineer; Stormwater Management Coordinator; and Senior Civil Engineer Supervisor for Bridges. Her responsibilities have ranged from annual budgeting and Capital Improvement Planning, to completing engineering reviews for bridge, stormwater, traffic, and roadway plans; coordinating with staff, consultants, stakeholders, and the public; and completing studies, engineering calculations, and grant applications.
