McCormick Taylor is pleased to announce Michael Burns, Jr., PE has joined our growing Raleigh, North Carolina office.
In his position as Senior Project Manager, Transportation Engineering, Michael will be responsible for business development, producing design plans, specifications and estimates, maintaining project schedules and deliverables, collaborating with various disciplines, securing and monitoring project budgets, and managing partnerships to ultimately deliver high quality projects and services.
Michael is a registered Professional Engineer with 12 years of experience and a graduate of North Carolina State University. He is skilled in project planning from conceptual design to final plans. Michael has a particularly strong technical background in the design of roadway and pedestrian/bicycle oriented projects. He has additional expertise in erosion control (Certified Level III Designer of Erosion Control Plans), traffic control, pavement marking, signing, and utility design. As a consultant for more than 10 years, Michael has a thorough understanding and knowledge of North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), Municipal, and other public and private client design standards and specifications.
