As Chief Executive Officer and Co-Owner, Jim aligns McCormick Taylor’s team of more than 400 professionals, providing strategic and financial oversight, guiding project health and performance, and cultivating strong, long-term client partnerships. His leadership and unwavering dedication to McCormick Taylor continues to foster growth and promote innovation throughout the company.
Professional Highlights
With over four decades at McCormick Taylor, Jim is a seasoned leader and a licensed Professional Engineer in eight states. Before becoming a Co-Owner in 2011, he advanced through staff, project, and senior management roles, playing a pivotal role in the design and delivery of numerous major highway projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. His experience includes traffic management and design, highway and roadway reconstruction and stormwater management and drainage design. Jim’s broad, cross-sector experience enables him to efficiently develop a deep understanding of the technical, regulatory, and procedural demands of complex projects. He is frequently relied upon to establish philosophical parameters and guiding principles, with ultimate responsibility for delivering outcomes that meet or exceed client expectations.
Jim holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont.
