McCormick Taylor was proud to serve as a gold sponsor for the third annual Chester County Color 5K. Held in Everhart Park in West Chester, PA on November 10, the walk/run raises awareness and funds to help combat the county’s opioid crisis.
The event was hosted by the Chester County Commissioners, District Attorney, the Department of Health, and the Department of Drug & Alcohol Services. Hundreds of Chester County, PA residents, including staff from our Exton office and their families, participated in the event. From joining in on the walk/run, to peppering participants with tinted corn starch as they passed, our team found a fun way to raise awareness about an important cause.
This year's proceeds benefited an innovative program called Community Outreach and Prevention Education (COPE). The goal of COPE is to move an overdose survivor from the emergency room to treatment regardless of insurance status, and to work with the survivor and family on how to navigate insurance coverage and ways to get treatment.
