Director, Transportation Engineering
As Director, Transportation Engineering, Rob leads the Highway and Construction Inspection teams, manages project delivery, and advances business development strategies throughout the state of Maryland. In his role, he focuses on the growth and development of the roadway engineering and inspection staff, the efficient and quality delivery of services, the incorporation of safe practices and procedures, and the advancement of the firm’s broader strategic initiatives.
Professional Highlights
As a Professional Engineer licensed in five states and the District of Columbia, Rob brings over three decades of experience in construction management and transportation engineering, with a proven ability to manage and deliver several, multidisciplinary, complex transportation projects concurrently. His expertise is rooted in an advanced knowledge of context-sensitive solutions, practical design theory, and innovative design and management approaches. Rob’s background includes the development of contract documents, cost estimates, project scopes, maintenance of traffic (MOT), budgets and schedules, and public involvement and outreach. He actively supports the transportation industry through leadership and contributions within multiple professional organizations, advocating for the profession, its workforce, innovation, and sustainable funding.
Outside of work, Rob loves to travel with his wife and daughter and has plans to soon visit the two remaining states in his quest to visit all 50. When he’s not traveling, Rob also loves to coach softball, host barbeques with his family and friends, and watch his daughter play on the high school basketball and softball teams. As a graduate of Penn State University, he is passionate about Nittany Lion football and enjoys attending games when he can.
